Vegas. After months of scrimping, saving, and planning,
Lily, Alex,
and Jade had arrived to spend a luxurious week at the MGM Grand Hotel.
They worked hard, back home in Minnesota -- this was their reward to
themselves.
Their glasses clinked in the air as they toasted each other in
the
restaurant. “To our vacation,” Lily said.
“To being in the most exciting city in the country,” Alex continued.
“And, to hopefully meeting some men while we’re here!” Jade
finished, giggling.
“Amen!” the other two women agreed.
Alex looked over her shoulder at a table full of teenage girls.
“Hey,
guys, doesn’t there seem to be a lot of teenagers around, for a casino?”
Lily shrugged. “I didn’t notice.”
“I think there’s some kind of boy band playing a concert here
tomorrow night,” Jade said.
“Oh, okay.” Alex rolled her eyes. “Remind me to avoid
that crowd
at all costs.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll be off having some adult fun,” Lily reminded
her. “Whatever kind we can find.”
“Absolutely!”
The women toasted each other again. It was bound to be a
week
they’d never, ever forget.
